Herzlich Willkommen!

Auf dieser Homepage finden Sie eine von mir im Schuljahr 2000/01 verfasste Fachbereichsarbeit (Unterrichtsgegenstand: Physik) mit dem Titel "The experience IYPT" (dt.: "Das Erlebnis IYPT"). IYPT ist die Abkürzung für "International Young Physicists' Tournament" (dt.: "Internationales Turnier junger Physiker").
Das IYPT und sein österreichisches Gegenstück das AYPT (= "Austrian Young Physicists' Tournament"; dt.: "Österreichisches Turnier junger Physiker") sind Schülerwettbewerbe, die sich sehr von anderen Schüler-Bewerben, wie zum Beispiel der Physik-Olympiade, unterscheiden.
Um auch anderen interessierten Menschen dieses großartige Turnier näher zu bringen, habe ich meine Fachbereichsarbeit auch hier im Internet veröffentlicht. Da das IYPT, wie auch das AYPT, vollständig in englischer Sprache abgehalten wird, habe ich mich dazu entschlossen auch meine Fachbereichsarbeit in englischer Sprache zu verfassen.
Die Arbeit steht als ganzes zum Downloaden zur Verfügung, kann aber auch als HTML-Version online betrachtet werden.

Welcome!

On this Homepage you will find a "Fachbereichsarbeit" (which is the Austrian equivalent of a dissertation for high school students), written in the year 2000/01 by me for my high school graduation in physics. The title is "The experience IYPT". IYPT is the abbreviation for "International Young Physicists' Tournament". The IYPT, and its Austrian equivalent the AYPT (Austrian Young Physicists' Tournament) are competitions among secondary high school students, which are very much different than any other students competitions, like the Physics Olympics.
To introduce other interested people to this great tournament I have decided to publish my Fachbereichsarbeit also here, on the Internet.
Due to the fact, that the IYPT as well as the AYPT is held in English I have written my Fachbereichsarbeit in English too.
