AYPT - Basic Info
The acronym AYPT stands for Austrian Young Physicists' Tournament.
The AYPT is a team-oriented scientific competition among teams of secondary school students.
At this tournament the participating students present and discuss their solutions to scientific
problems which they have prepared over a period of about half a year.
The presentation as well as the defense in the discussion is graded by a jury consisting of international experts.
You can find more detailed information on the course of the tournament in the
homonymous section.
The annual AYPT is organised and executed by the association AYPT - Forschungsforum junger Physiker . Among other things it serves as a qualification tournament to select those students who will represent Austria as a national team at the corresponding international competition, the International Young Physicists' Tournament (IYPT).
The term "AYPT" has been derived from the corresponding international competition: The IYPT.
You can find more detailed information on the IYPT in the section
The International Tournament.
On the website www.iypt.at are provided exemplary IYPT Reports (Powerpoint Presentations and a video) of the last IYPTs.
